This new range of Epson photo production printers has been designed primarily with functionality and a small footprint in mind; it is a machine that is fully operational from the front with a flat back that allows it to be placed against a wall. With an innovative, compact, all-in-one-piece design, the SC-P6500E printer requires no assembly, and its setup from unboxing to printing takes less than 30 minutes.
The Epson PrecisionCore head of the SC-P6500E printer is precise, accurate, and consistent: PrecisionCore technology is designed to last the life of the SureColor SC-P8500 printer; it is not a consumable.
The head has a high-resolution print quality of up to 2400 dpi and also allows for precise control of ink droplets, with variable droplet sizes from 3.5 picoliters, ensuring exceptional clarity and sharpness.

The printhead has been implemented with Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT), which automatically detects the nozzle status and initiates the cleaning procedure. The ink-repellent coating reduces the possibility of nozzle clogging.
This large-format printer offers extreme print quality, precision, and speed in an innovative, compact design that has the option of a dual roll (the SC-P6500DE model) for higher production, which avoids having to change paper types according to printing needs, reducing finishing time.
Media handling is state-of-the-art; roll loading is automatic, there is no need to feed the paper.
The variety of media that this plotter can print on is very wide; it can print directly on rigid material up to 1.5 mm thick such as cardboard, coated aluminum, or other thick substrates; it requires no finishing, which reduces labor costs for rigid signs. The print is instant-drying, ready to use, and durable.
Some of the production improvement features that can be mentioned: Borderless printing on all four sides of the image without the need for user trimming, high-productivity roll-to-roll printing, included take-up reel mode, roll 1 can be used as a take-up, rolling the print side in or out, with adjustable winding tension in three levels... Less user intervention and no additional accessories needed for collection.
