"Wilhelm Imaging Research" certificationBaryta Photographique II Matt paper features an extremely smooth surface with a completely matte finish that, due to the absence of grain interference, accentuates the details of the printed image. The matte surface does not reflect light from any angle, making it ideal for photographers or artists wishing to exhibit their work.
Although Baryta Photographique II Matt is classified as a digital darkroom photo paper, it must be printed using matte black ink instead of photo black ink. With an extremely high D-Max (black density), equivalent to that of a digital matte fine art paper, the paper offers exceptional contrast and depth, as well as colors with greater vibrancy and intensity.
The second generation of the popular digital darkroom paper contains the same barium sulfate (baryta) coating as Baryta Photographique II, thus offering improved paper handling and manipulation.
