The large format (24-inch) Epson SureColor SC-P6500D plotter has been specifically designed to offer high-volume production for daily work as well as specialized products in photography, canvas, or enlargements; it also provides signage services such as photo prints, posters, point-of-sale signage, as well as Decor Art or rigid poster boards.
The SureColor SC-P6500D printer features the new 6-color aqueous-based pigment UltraChromePRO6 ink set with gray, which provides a wide color gamut with smooth gradations and less grain, available in 110, 350, and 700 ml capacity cartridges and 1.6 liters for the SC-P8500DL STD printer models.
This new range of Epson photographic production printers has been designed primarily with functionality and space-saving in mind, providing a machine that is fully operable from the front with a flat back that allows it to be placed against a wall. With an innovative and compact single-piece design, the SC-P6500D printer requires no assembly, and its setup from unboxing to printing takes less than 30 minutes.
PrecisionCore technology is designed to last the entire lifespan of the SureColor SC-P6500D printer and is not a consumable: the Epson PrecisionCore printhead is precise, accurate, and consistent.
The printhead has a high-resolution print quality of up to 2400 dpi and allows for precise control of ink droplets, with variable droplet sizes starting at 3.5 picoliters, ensuring exceptional clarity and sharpness.
The printhead is implemented with Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT), which automatically detects the state of the nozzle and initiates the cleaning procedure. The ink-repellent coating reduces the possibility of nozzle clogging.
Quality, precision, and extreme print speed in this large-format machine with an innovative and compact design that features an option for dual paper rolls for increased production, avoiding the need to change paper types according to print needs and reducing finishing time.
Media handling is cutting-edge; roll loading is performed automatically, there is no need to manually feed the paper, and it allows for automatic switching between rolls, loading two different types or sizes of paper simultaneously with quick changes. Roll selection is done in the SC-P6500D printer driver and job settings.
The variety of media that can be printed on this plotter is very wide; it can print directly onto rigid material up to 1.5 mm thick such as cardstock, coated aluminum, or other thick substrates, requiring no finishing, which reduces labor costs for rigid signs. The print is instant-drying, ready to use, and durable.
Some production-enhancing features that can be mentioned: borderless printing on all four sides of the image without the need for user trimming, high-productivity roll-to-roll printing, included take-up reel mode, roll 1 can be used as a take-up, winding the print side in or out, with adjustable winding tension in three levels... Less user intervention and no additional accessories needed for collection.
Printer configuration allows for identifying the used roll with an ID and tracking the remaining meters of material on the reel.
