Los papeles Unryu son algo más decorativos al natural que otros papeles inkjet de Awagami, debido a sus exclusivas fibras de kozo o morera que hacen que el papel Unryu Thin presente una estética japonesa clásica. Como su apariencia indica, los papales "Unryu" ofrecen una expresión dinámica y lujosa al imprimir trabajos de arte en ellos.Particularmente interesante cuando está retroiluminado (o colgado libremente de una pared o techo), la textura de este papel seguramente aumentará la expresividad de su imagen debido a las fibras arremolinadas de kozo. Las fotos con una composición bastante simple, un tema principal y un poco de espacio abierto se ven impresionantes cuando se imprimen en este papel y dejan ver los naturales dibujos de las fibras.
