Thanks to their accelerated growth, they are able to provide more cellulose in the same planting area than other crops, besides requiring less water than those. This allows for greater respect for natural resources and contributes to environmental protection.

The Hahnemühle Hemp 290 gsm paper completes the Natural Line range, made from one of the oldest and most versatile natural fibers in the world; its raw material contains 60% hemp fiber. This FineArt Inkjet paper stands out for its natural color, a bright white that is achieved without the addition of optical brighteners, thanks to the natural color of the hemp fiber. The paper's surface is lightly textured and has a subtly velvety feel. In combination with its Premium matte inkjet layer, it results in a highly versatile FineArt Inkjet paper. Colors and details are reproduced with great brilliance, black convinces with its depth, and contrasts stand out exceptionally. This FineArt Inkjet paper is acid and lignin-free, thus meeting the most rigorous requirements for aging resistance. For centuries, hemp has been an important element in paper manufacturing. Thanks to its high-strength fibers, it is predestined for the manufacture of very durable papers, as evidenced by the Gutenberg Bible or the Declaration of Independence of the USA.
